I really hope that you have a Blog because it’s one of the most powerful online marketing tools out there.

If you haven’t got a Blog, do not worry because I will try (in this post) to give you my 7 best MLM Blog Training Tips for getting started.

Why Should You Have An MLM Blog?

I’ve spoken before about why you need to start a network marketing blog but I will go over some important points here.

A Blog is essentially just a website that is updated on a regular basis. Your objective with your Blog will be to position yourself as an authority and so to establish the “know, like and trust” with your prospects and website visitors.

When you have your own blog, you can update it with new content each week.

This content will serve you over time to get you passive and residual leads! Imagine how strong your lead flow will be after you have produced 30+ blog posts.

So, the reason you should have a Blog is to generate a passive lead flow, have a “home base” for your new content and to establish yourself as an authority.

By the way, this applies to any niche. I know network marketers who have Blogs that are in the weight loss, vitamin and nutritional products etc niches. This can be applied to any business opportunity. The point is that you need web traffic to get leads. And to get web traffic, you need to produce content around your target market. The tips below should help you get started or to optimize what you are doing.

1. Blog Consistently – A lot of people abandon their blogs after a short time because they don’t see immediate results. The trick is to make sure that you are producing blog posts on a regular basis. I would recommend 3 posts per week, but if you cannot manage this, 1 post per week can be powerful IF you are consistent over time. See my post here that discusses this very topic.

2. Build On A Strong Foundation – You should make sure that you start with a strong foundation. You should be using WordPress, a very popular Content Management System, and you should be using a Premium theme that is SEO Friendly. This will save you a lot of headaches down the road. 3. Be Social – Whilst getting web traffic from the Search Engines is fantastic, you shouldn’t limit yourself here.

The point is that you need to get involved with Social Media, and promote your blog posts effectively there.

Your Blog is where your content lives, but you need to regularly be promoting it on social sites like Facebook, Twitter, Google+, LinkedIn, Pinterest and Instagram.

4. Don’t Hype About Your Opportunity – Actually, this advice should apply to everything anyway.

Your Blog is not the place to hype about how great your opportunity is. No-one is interested!

Instead, you should be “teaching” all the time. People visits blog to learn things and be entertained.

You should know the core problems of your target market and craft your blog posts as solutions to those problems.

It’s fine to speak about your products and how they benefit people, but just don’t constantly hype about the business opportunity. That is one of the major problems in this industry.

Lead with training, build your list and promote your opportunity after you have earned the trust of your prospects.

5. Think Long Term – Blogging is not a fast strategy so make a decision to be consistent with it for a period of time. Don’t expect to get any leads at all within your first week of blogging.

Within a few months, you could be getting 10 leads per day from your Blog, so it’s well worth the effort and long term mindset.

6. Put Your Readers First -Your Blog really isn’t solely about you. It’s actually about your readers, your target market.

Blog posts can be personal but ultimately you should be speaking to your target market and helping them solve their problems.

7. Have A System – As already mentioned, your Blog is a long term asset that you constantly feed over time.

Therefore, you need to lay your stake in the ground and decide how often you will publish a blog post and how much time per week will go into it.

Have a system that is compatible with your life. It may be that you are working part time and only have enough time to do 1 post a week. This is certainly better than nothing.
