Seriously, What Is Air5 Networks?

Scheduled to launch in June 2016,  Air5 Networks currently has no information about the company on it’s website, with only a “maintenance mode” page displayed.

Matthew Davis is listed as the Air5 Networks owner, and the company provides an address in Florida, United States.

Digging a little deeper, Davis is listed as a “Manager” for Air5 Networks Holdings, which is an LLC that was registered in Florida in 2015. Also listed as managers are George Burton and Charles R. Glenn. What their specific roles are within the company are not listed.

This opportunity is actively being promoted by the managers, even though there is currently a lack of information about the opportunity itself.

As I have said before, if a company does not disclose openly who owns or operates it, this is a red flag and you should seriously consider that before joining.

What Is The Air5 Network Product?

Air5 Networks will be selling “digital technology product,” which is likely the OTT Stream Box, at a retail price of $399.

“In broadcasting, over-the-top content (OTT) refers to delivery of audio, video and other media over the Internet without the involvement of a multiple-system operator in the control or distribution of the content.

The internet provider may be aware of the contents of the Internet Protocol packets but is not responsible for, nor able to control, the viewing abilities, copyrights, and/or other redistribution of the content (Wikipedia)”

After the initial purchase of the box, one or more bundled services would be required in order to be able to use the box itself:

  • Monthly service: $59.97
  • Monthly cable service: $79.97
  • Monthly cable service: $99.97
  • Monthly internet service: $50
  • Monthly VOIP service: $14

While the website isn’t very clear, I would guess that the different monthly cable packages include different channel combinations.

Currently, no technical specifications are available for the box on the Air5 Networks website.

What About The Air5 Networks Compensation Plan

Affiliates in the Air5 Networks are paid to sell the Air5 Networks steamboxes as a retail product.

Affiliates are also compensated for recruiting new Air5 Networks affiliates, and are paid out via binary and unilevel compensation plans.

Air5 Networks Affiliate Ranks

Air5 Networks contains eleven affiliate ranks within their compensation plan, which are as follows:

  • Silver: Sign up as an affiliate or purchase a Bronze or Silver Enrollment kit, and recruit a minimum of 2 affiliates (one for each side of your binary team)
  • Gold: Sign up as an affiliate with a Gold Enrollment Kit, recruit and maintain a minimum of 2 affiliates (one for each side of your binary team), and either sell 8 streamboxes OR recruit a minimum of 4 Silver affiliates.

  • Opal: Sign up for the business opportunity, pay a one-time $99 “non-commissionable” Administrative Fee, or purchase an “Optional” Retail Sales Pack.
  • Sapphire: Generate a minimum of 125 PV per month in subscription volume (includes your own subscriptions)
  • Emerald: Generate a minimum of 250 PV per month in subscription volume (includes your own subscriptions), and acquire a unilevel team that generates a minimum of $2500 per month in retail sales over six levels (no more than 60% from a single unilevel leg)
  • Ruby: Generate a minimum of 500 PV per month in subscription volume (includes your own subscriptions), and acquire a unilevel team that generates a minimum of $10,000 per month in retail sales over eight levels (no more than 50% from a single unilevel leg)
  • Diamond: Generate a minimum of 1000 PV per month in subscription volume (includes your own subscriptions), and acquire a unilevel team that generates a minimum of $50,000 per month in retail sales over nine levels (no more than 40% from a single unilevel leg)
  • Blue Diamond: Generate a minimum of 2500 PV per month in subscription volume (includes your own subscriptions), and acquire a unilevel team that generates a minimum of $200,000 per month in retail sales over nine levels (no more than 40% from a single unilevel leg)
  • Red Diamond: Maintain a minimum of 125 PV per month (with 75 PV of that retail volume), recruit a minimum of 4 Blue Diamond or higher ranked affiliates, maintain a minimum of 4 retail customers who generate a minimum of 25 CV per month and also possess a unilevel team that generates a minimum of $1,000,000 per month in retail sales over nine levels (no more than 40% from a single unilevel leg)

In this instance, PV stands for Personal Volume, which is sales volume that is generated by an affiliates own purchases and sales to their retail customers. Also, CV stands for Commissionable Volume, and is generated by sales of Air5 Networks products and services.

Residual Commissions

Air5 Networks pays out residual binary commissions using a binary compensation structure.

A binary structure places you at the top of your binary team, which is split into two legs, left and right.

Each position on the binary team is split into twice the number of positions that existed on the level above it. These positions are filled by direct and indirect recruitment of Air5 Networks affiliates.

Residual commissions are paid to Air5 Networks Affiliates using a unilevel compensation structure.

And Seriously, Is There An Air5 Networks Scam Going On?

For all opportunities, you always get some people saying it’s a scam or Ponzi scheme.

In this case, is there an Air5 Networks Scam going on or is it completely legit?

Well, to be honest, there is a proper product which is a good start.

A lot of opportunities out there don’t even have that.

For a business opportunity to be legit, there needs to be a proper product (or products) that can be sold regardless of the business opportunity. So yes, Air5 Networks has this and so does something like Valentus which I looked at last year.

So, it has a proper product.

Having said that, there are flaws with Air5 Networks which I will speak about in the next section.

And this would (at the very least) suggest that you should use caution.

And Now, My Air5 Networks Review Final Thoughts!

Up until June, Air5 Networks charged a $1450 for a Founder Membership.

I was unable to determine whether or not Founder affiliates receive additional incentives. However, a Founder affiliate that recruits additional Founder affiliate is entitled to a $200 commission.

Unfortunately, that is clear cut chain recruitment, and I am sad to say I think it will set the tone for the whole Air5 Networks business after it launches.

However, there is some effort in the compensation plan to incentivise retail sales. There are retail volume requirements throughout the all the ranks, which is positive.

It’s really too bad that there are pay to play elements present themselves in the Bronze, Silver and Gold Enrollment kits. These enrollment kits are tied directly to binary earning percentages, which is clear-cut pay-to-play.

In an MLM, ideally the income potential should be entirely dependent on the retail sales performance, not how much was paid when the affiliate signed up.

Besides that, the Air5 Networks Compensation plan looks pretty decent.

I am usually pretty sceptical about stream boxes that are marketed, however this offering seems pretty legit.

I would definitely consider the cost of the Air5 Networks compared to other services available in your local community in order to determine retail viability.

This looks like a decent attempt by Air5 Networks to drive retail sales, and the subscription based offering is awesome. I am disappointed by the Founder affiliate recruitment and recruitment commissions that are offered within the Compensation plan.

Also, Air5 Networks is being promoted by Founder affiliates with no real information about who owns or operates the business. For this reason, I’d use some strong caution.

Of course you can do very well with an opportunity like Air5 Networks.

However, there’s some critical problems.

Be careful if you do promote it.

As part of my Air5 Networks Review I can’t recommend fully because the problems are pretty major. In this day and age, there needs to be full information on who owns and runs the business.

If you do promote something like this, be careful and for goodness sake, learn how to market!
