What Can You Tell Me About Amazing Living?

Amazing Living is a new MLM company that offers an income opportunity based on selling a range of tea bags. The website (myamazingliving.com) was registered on the 2nd September 2016, with Thomas Nash being named as the owner who is based in Ontario, Canada. A press release stated that Robert Aveyard is the CEO of the company. This is as far as any information goes relating to these two people, with absolutely no details online about who they are or their history with involvement in MLM companies.

When considering involvement with an investment opportunity such as what Amazing Living is offering, it is vital that you fully investigate who is responsible for the operations of the company as this can provide invaluable insights into their ability and the likeliness that the company will succeed. All legitimate MLM companies provide this information, so those that don’t must be treated with a great deal of caution.

Does Amazing Living Offer Any Products?

The main product being offered by Amazing Living is their own brand of SourSop teabags. According to their website, SourSop is,

“the fruit of Annona muricata, a broadleaf, flowering, evergreen tree. The exact origin is unknown; it is native to the tropical regions of the Americas and is widely propagated”

According to Amazing Living, this tea has a positive effect on your health and can even help with treating a variety of medical problems such as high blood pressure, high cholesterol, back pain, eczema and diabetes.

The teabags are sold by Amazing Living in 10 bag packs fro $19.99.

What Kind Of Compensation Plan Does Amazing Living Have?

Affiliate members of Amazing Living are able to earn by both selling the products on offer as well as recruiting new members to the plan. There are 2 different methods through which they earn, with affiliates needing to purchase at least $50 worth of products each month to be eligible for,

  1. Affiliate Recruitment Commission

Amazing Living affiliates are rewarded for introducing new members to the scheme. They earn $100 commission for every three new affiliates they recruit once those affiliates have, themselves, qualified to receive their own commissions. This recruitment commission is limited to five payouts, so a total of $500.

  1. Residual Commissions

Amazing Living affiliates are able to earn residual commissions which reward them for the sales of product made by others within a 3×9 matrix structure. A 3×9 matrix is created by first placing you, as the initial affiliate, in a position at the top of the structure. Three positions are then created directly beneath you, and these will form the First Level. The second level is formed by creating a further three positions beneath each of those on Level 1, and the third level is formed by creating three positions beneath each of those on level 2. This process continues like this until Level 9 has been created, giving a total of 9840 positions in the full 3×9 matrix. These positions will all be filled by both direct and indirect recruitment of Amazing Living affiliates.

Amazing Living affiliates earn a 9% commission of tea orders that are made by preferred customers and new affiliates that have been recruited. By recruiting new members, affiliates are able to unlock different stages of the 3×9 matrix to earn this commission from,

  • by recruiting one new affiliate, an affiliate will earn 9% commission of sales on the first three levels of the matrix
  • by recruiting two new affiliates, an affiliate will earn 9% commission of sales on the first six levels of the matrix
  • by recruiting three new affiliates, an affiliate will earn 9% commission of sales on all nine levels of the matrix
  • affiliates will also earn a 50% matching bonus of matrix earning by affiliates that they have personally recruited to the company

What Is The Cost Of Membership With Amazing Living?

Becoming an affiliate member of Amazing Living requires a one off payment of $69.99, but to remain eligible to receive commission through the compensation plan requires a monthly purchase of at least $50 worth of product.

Conclusion for Amazing Living

The primary concern with Amazing Living from the start is their secrecy about the ownership of the company. This makes it impossible to determine if a serial fraudster is running it, or whether there are successful operators behind it. Despite two names being given, there is no evidence to suggest they are real, and the only person who dares to show their face is Larry Williams who appears in their marketing videos as the national sales trainer. While it’s unclear if he has a stake in the company or not, it’s weird that he’s be such a visible face of the company if he wasn’t, especially with the other supposed owners keeping so hidden.

Amazing Living’s structure goes a few steps better than a lot of unsustainable MLM propositions, but it comes with its own concerns. On the face of it they are offering a compensation plan behind the primary goal, which is to sell teabags. But this is not how things are really working, with the teabag sales simply being an afterthought beyond what is in effect an autoship recruitment scheme. Once the joining fee has been paid, affiliates must buy at least $50 worth of product every month. The crucial thing with this required payment is that is counts towards the totals that affiliates earn commissions on, so the main compulsion that is going on here is the idea that you recruit as many people to the plan as possible, and simply watch your 9% commission come rolling in every month. It clearly would be possible to make retail sales to increase the figures, but that would likely be far more effort than simply signing up a few new people.

Furthermore, there is evidence that the teabags truly were an afterthought with Larry Williams saying that

We have to launch something. We couldn’t just have people buying in and giving them air right now, till everything came”

This supports the idea that Amazing Living is, in fact, merely a chain recruitment scheme that uses a pyramid scheme structure. There is no emphasis on retail sales- if there were then it would be fine, but considering the company was setup before choosing the product, it seems quite obvious what is really happening.

MLM companies need to have alternative avenues of income to support payments to affiliates. If they are simply paying affiliates with money that is being invested by other affiliates, then it is very much in pyramid scheme territory and will ultimately fail. If you are considering Amazing Living as a company to become involved with, ask for evidence that retail sales are actually happening- if not, stay away.
