What Is Gold Canyon Candles?

Gold Canyon has been receiving a great deal of attention in the MLM space recently, so I figured it was time to finally take a close look at the company to see just what it is that they’re bringing to the table.

Here we have a company that’s been in business since as late as 1997, with its two co-founders being Curt and Karen Waisath. Gold Canyon specializes in selling items such as candles, jewelry, home décor, etc. These are all relatively niche products, but with the company being around for about 19 years at this point, it’s quite obvious that there is a strong and healthy market for this kind of stuff.

The CEO for Gold Canyon goes by the name of Thomas Kelly, and Kelly also oversees Gold Canyon’s initiative to donate funds to both charities and various school fundraisers that they find.

Candles are certainly the flagship product being offered here, but Gold Canyon seems to do a good job at marketing their other products as well.

As it stands, Gold Canyon currently allows their affiliates to sell products in both the continental United States and Canada. It’s great to see that expansion, but for a company that’s been around for nearly 20 years, some support for countries in Europe and elsewhere would have been nice to see.

Gold Canyon has been featured on a number of media channels, such as the San Tan Sun News and even Fox News. Additionally, Gold Canyon was recognized in the Direct Selling News Magazine.

This is an opportunity that certainly has built up a pretty commendable name and brand, but does all of that translate to a worth MLM company that’s worth your time, attention, and money?

What Products Are Being Sold?

As mentioned above, Gold Canyon sells products ranging from candles, home décor items, pillows, throws, and more. There’s a great deal of emphasis placed on all of the products being offered here, Gold Canyon’s candle selection easily has the biggest marketing push placed on them.

Gold Canyon offers more than 15 different fragrances for their candles, and Gold Canyon says that they use a cool-burning wax with safety wicks as well. The company has also gone to great lengths to ensure that the odor their candles give off can easily fill a room with a nice, pleasing smell, but they aren’t so strong that it overpowers your nose.

Real customers have taken to Instagram and Pinterest to boast about how great Gold Canyon’s candles are, and while this is great to see, the candles being offered aren’t entirely perfect.

A number of customers have reported that the candles have a real issue with creating a lot of soot, and a bit of maintenance is also required if you want to keep the candles working as strong as possible for as long as possible. The jars have a tendency to heat up more when compared to competing options, and the paraffin wax that’s used isn’t quite as safe when compared to a candle that uses a soy-based wax.

Info On The Gold Canyon Candles Comp Plan

Hopping over to the compensation plan being offered here, affiliates for Gold Canyon are able to earn a commission by selling products to people through the act of direct selling.

Direct selling certainly isn’t for everyone, and while it is possible to be really successful at it, having some sort of background in either sales or marketing is going to help you a great deal with this kind of work.

The commission rate is anywhere from 35 to 36-percent, and while that is a fair rate, it certainly isn’t eh highest I’ve ever seen.

You’re also going to be facing a battle with finding people who actually want to buy these products. Candles and home décor items can be easily purchased at pretty much any store, and likely for a lower cost as well. Convincing people to pay a premium to get those items through you might take a bit of work on your part, meaning that you could be facing a bit of a tough sell.

What Will It Cost Me To Join Gold Canyon Candles?

If you’d like to become an official affiliate for Gold Canyon, you’ll need to purchase a starter kit upon signing up. This starter kit costs $99, but contains more than $260 worth of products, including test samples, marketing materials, catalogs, and more.

Any Truth To The Gold Canyon Candles Rumours?

Any time a new business opportunity launches, you will always hear rumours about them being scams – so is Gold Canyon Candles a scam?

From reading above, you might already be thinking Gold Canyon Candles is a scam.

So, is it?

Is there a Gold Canyon Candles scam, or is it legit?

To be honest, Gold Canyon Candles isn’t a complete scam.

However, there are some red flags to be worried about, which I discuss in the conclusion.

See my tips below for helping to make money.

And Now, My Gold Canyon Candles Conclusion

At the end of the day, Gold Canyon does offer a legitimate MLM opportunity. A strong product line is in place with a great deal of variety, and all of the products being offered appear to be of a fairly high quality.

However, your success is not guaranteed. A background in sales and/or marketing will help you tremendously, and although it isn’t required, it will really give you an edge over all of the other affiliates within the company.

Additionally, since these products are a bit of a niche and can be bought for less money at local stores or through direct retailers online, you could also be facing a bit of a tough sell.

My advice is to ask around your area first before signing on as an affiliate. If there’s a real interest for Gold Canyon’s products where you live, then feel free to give it a shot.

However, if you can’t find a healthy amount of people who are genuinely interested in the product line, you’ll likely have a hard time making back that initial $99 investment.

I hope you have gained value from my Gold Canyon Candles Review.

I have put all the details you need to know here, because all other reviews of Gold Canyon Candles have been fairly limited with details.
