What Can You Tell Me About Herbalife?

Herbalife is an MLM entity that exists within the niche of health and wellness, but recently, the company has been going though a considerable rough patch.

Numerous plaintiffs have come forward to file class action lawsuits against Herbalife, claiming that the “Circle of Success” events it’s running are “valueless.” Furthermore, these plaintiffs have gone on the record to say that Herbalife is a “corrupt organization of individuals.”

A complaint was filed against Herbalife on September 18 by Jeff Rodgers, Patricia Rodgers, Michael Lavigne, and Jennifer Lavigne in the United States District Court in Florida’s Southern District. The complaint was issued against Herbalife, with the claim being that the company directly violated Florida’s Deceptive and Unfair Trade Practices Act.

The plaintiffs in this case are reporting that Herbalife’s Circle of Success events are held once a month in numerous locations around the country. Circle of Success events can range in size anywhere from as little as 200 up to 20,000 people in attendance, and the plaintiffs in the case say that they’ve spent upwards of thousands of dollars during said events.

However, even after all of this money spent, the plaintiffs have seen absolutely no return whatsoever. Herbalife promises its affiliates a large income and a better lifestyle by attending the Circle of Success events, but none of the plaintiffs have seen any of these benefits.

Herbalife is being accused of using “misrepresentation and deceit” in order to sell the Circle of Success events the are described as being “emotionally manipulative.”

In the lawsuit itself, it is stated that:

“The events are pitched as a guaranteed pathway to attaining life-changing financial success and that participants are told to attended every event to become successful.”

Promises individuals that they’ll see substantial amounts of money and a better life by attending and spending money at events and not following through is clearly wrong, and it looks like this dirty activity is finally coming to bite Herbalife in the rear.

A trial by jury is currently being requested by the plaintiffs involved with the lawsuit, with both compensatory and real money damages being sought after once all is said and done.

Plaintiffs are reportedly being represented by the likes of Etan Mark, Donald J. Hayden, and Lara O’Donnell Grillo – all of which are a mark of Mark Migdal Hayden over in Miami, Florida.

It’ll certainly be interesting to see how this case plays out, because for the time being, it looks like it could go either way. Stay tuned.
