What Is MacroCoin Exactly?

Launched in August of 2016, MacroCoin is a crypto-currency investment scheme that offers affiliates the ability to earn commissions based on their ability to recruit new members to the scheme. The website itself provides very few details as to who owns or operates the company, but some research into it reveals a parent company, UECB, whose listed CEO is Simon Karakas and Senior Executive is Rok Potocnik.

Both of them have been involved in questionable crypto-currency based schemes before, with Karakas having been a part of ByXpress where he created a currency called MCoin. This endeavor didn’t last long after its launch in 2015 and had collapsed by early 2016. MacroCoin appears to be structurally very similar to the way that company operated- likely another attempt by Karakas to con a new group of people.

What Will I Be Selling With MacroCoin?

While MacroCoin don’t actually offer any products intended for sale to retail customers, they reward affiliates for their ability to recruit new members to the scheme, and give them the opportunity to invest in their new crypto-currency called MacroCoin. This currency is not publicly traded, and currently can only be acquired by being an affiliate of the company. Its value is, therefore, determined purely by the company admins and is only worth anything as long as other affiliates are willing to purchase it.

What Should I Know About The Compensation Plan For MacroCoin?

MacroCoin offers a fairly complicated compensation plan to give affiliates the illusion that there are many ways in which they can earn. It all comes down to recruitment of new members and encouraging them to invest, though, and begins with affiliates investing in one of five membership packages:

  • The Starter Membership costs €250 and limits members to earning $500 US at most every week
  • The Intermediate Membership costs €850 and limits members to earning $1500 US at most every week
  • The VIP Membership costs €2000 and limits members to earning $4500 US at most every week
  • The Super Membership costs €5000 and limits members to earning $13,500 US at most every week
  • The Co-Founder Membership costs €10,000 and limits members to earning $13,500 US at most every week

Once an affiliate has chosen their membership package, they are then able to earn commissions based on the investments that those they recruit make into the company.

  • Direct Recruitment Commission – This commission entitles affiliates to 10% of all investments that are made by those that they have directly recruited. This only applies if the new affiliates invest at the same level or lower than the affiliate who recruited them, otherwise the commission goes up the chain to the first affiliate who is eligible to receive the commission
  • Residual Recruitment Commission – By using a binary structure model, affiliates are awarded a percentage of the weaker performing side based on how the new affiliates have invested in MacroCoin
  • Matching Bonus – By using a unilevel structure model, affiliates are able to earn between 2% and 5% of the residual recruitment commission being earned by affiliates that they have directly recruited.
  • Investment Commission – MacroCoin affiliates will earn a commission of up to 8% of investments being made by members that they have directly recruited to the company
  • Co-Founder Referral Bonus – Co-Founder members of MacroCoin will receive an additional bonus for recruiting new members who also invest at the Co-Founder level. This commission ranges between 20% and 50% depending on the number of new members that are recruited
  • Profit Pool Share – 1% of MacroCoin investment volume is put into a pool, of which affiliates are able to earn a share upon satisfying certain investment figures through their binary structure
  • OCF Shares – MacroCoin members who join at the Intermediate or higher levels will receive up to $3500 worth of virtual shares within the currency. These can be traded between other affiliates on the company’s internal exchange

Foundation Committee – MacroCoin members who have invested at the Co-Founder level are entitled to a share in a pool that comprises 1% of MacroCoin’s global investment volume.

What’s The Membership Fee For MacroCoin?

Affiliate membership of MacroCoin is tied to an initial investment in a membership package. This ranges from €250 for the starter membership to €10,000 for the Co-Founder membership. The more that is invested, the more that can potentially be earned through the scheme.

My Conclusion For MacroCoin

MacroCoin is pretty much a carbon copy of Karakas’ previous venture with MCoin. Here they have created a crypto-currency that is worthless outside of the confines of the company, and hoping that investors will jump on the bandwagon because of the success of BitCoin. By promising to be the next BitCoin, MacroCoin is creating a lot of hype to try to get enough investment to actually make it worth something, but this is very unlikely to ever happen. There are many crypto-currencies out there with lofty ambitions, but the reality is that these currencies only ever become worth something when people outside of the company confines are willing to accept them as an alternative currency, something that will never happen, especially with currency’s that have been created from the offset as a speculative investment.

Further to the inherent problems with the crypto-currency itself, the compensation plan being offered here by MacroCoin is just as sketchy. With investors being paid purely from subsequent investments being made by new members, pyramid recruitment structures, and unregistered security trading, it’s basically a combination of all the things you want to look out for to avoid in an investment proposition. Add to this the pay-to-play aspect where a massive Co-Founder investment is required to take part in the full opportunity, and you have a company structure that is wholly unsustainable and almost certain to fail in the same way as its predecessors.

When the recruitment of new affiliates begins to slow down, payments to current members will fall and they will lose the motivation to bring new people through, This will spiral throughout the company and cause the whole thing to collapse, leaving the majority of members losing out on all their investments, and finding that their crypto-currency is absolutely worthless.

MacroCoin will result in people losing money, apart from those that are running it, and should be completely avoided if your intent is to actually profit from your investments. There are plenty of opportunities out there that have the potential to serve you well, but this is certainly not one of them.

I sure hope you have found all the information in this MacroCoin Review helpful.
