What Is Jusuru Exactly?

Jusuru is a company that’s been trying to make it big by selling a collagen juice that sells for $250 each and every month, and after not yet finding its big break, the company has now been purchased by that of Modere.

A press release was sent out on January 18th from Modere’s parent company Z Capital Partners LLC, and in the release, it was stated that –

“The addition of Jusuru to Modere will accelerate the international expansion of Jusuru’s award-winning Collagen/HA Matrix Technology and fuel future Modere health, wellness and personal care products.”

Current rankings for the Jusuru website on Alexa show that traffic for the site has been in a steady and steep decline every since the fourth and last quarter of 2016 (last year), so with business on the downside, it’s likely that Jusuru was bought by Modere so that it didn’t go completely out of business.

I looked into what Jusuru was offering before this deal went through, and the main product for the company is a collagen juice that sold for $66 for a liter of it. That seems like an incredibly steep price to pay, and sounds a bit illegitimate if you ask me.

In any case, the press release continues with, “Jusuru will become the new Modere Collagen Sciences division, and will be led by Jusuru’s co-founder and President Asthma Ishaq. During the gradual integration process, both companies’ businesses will continue to operate as usual.”

While Jusuru’s juice sold for $66 for a liter, things got even more expensive when you looked into how much of the juice you were advised to take.

With the suggested dosage amounts in place, the cost of buying and consuming Jusuru’s juice came out to around $250 each and every month.

That’s an incredibly high monthly premium for a collagen juice, no matter how good it is for your health.

As for Modere, the company appears to be a form of MLM opportunity with a very strong focus on affiliate recruitment through the use of monthly autoship orders.

per the Modere website –

“Start Right: When joining you’ll want to (a) purchase the Builder Collection (or $300 point order) for $299, and (b) set up your monthly SmartShip of at least $100 points.

This will allow you to earn from the entire Modere Compensation Plan, including Promoter, Builder and Leader Shares from the Revenue Sharing Pool.”

Autoship is never something that I’m a fan of seeing, and if you remember the FTC’s recent guidelines for MLM that were just updated, autoship-focused recruitment is a big no-no.

Along with posing a problem for Modere, this could also place Jusuru in a bit of an awkward position now that they’re owned by the company.
