Seriously, What Is Multisure?

Multisure’s website reports that the company is a “dynamic 100% South African ‘born and bred’ company started in the year 2000.”

The Managing Director goes by the name of Denton Goodford, and various marketing material makes it clear that he’s the man in charge of this operation.

Per Goodford’s corporate bio, the man is an “ex State Prosecutor and practicing Advocate of the High Court of SA. Denton started MultiSure in 2000, seeing the need in South African for legal cover with a difference.

His vision is to empower others and so he decided to create Multisure as a network marketing business to allow many people to benefit from the business and work towards their own financial freedom.”

Based on what I can see, Multisure is the first MLM opportunity that Goodford has ever been a part of.

What Products Does Multisure Sell?

Moving over to Multisure’s product line, there are two main things being marketed to customers — legal insurance and funeral coverage.

According to Multisure, “We have combined two affordable an in-demand financial Products with  a Business Opportunity which anyone irrespective of background, education and experience can make use of.”

A more detailed look at the two products is as follows:

  • Legal Assist — “we will provide you with legal advice and assistance when you need it most”
  • Funeral Assist — “provides you and your family with protection against high funeral expenses in the case of your own death or that of a family member”

Legal Assists costs R68 ZAR per month, and then goes up by 10% each year.

Funeral Assists costs R30 ZAR for one month with coverage up to R3000 ZAR for one person. If you want to cover family members, you’ll pay R295 ZAR per month for R20,000 ZAR worth of coverage.

Info On The Multisure Compensation Plan

When it comes to getting paid, affiliates for Multisure are primarily compensated for recruiting other individuals into the company.

This means that recruitment commissions are the name of the game, and they’re handled with the use of a unilevel system.

When an affiliate recruits someone else to join Multisure, they’re able to earn R50 ZAR for level one members and R20 ZAR on those recruited into their level two downline.

Additionally, affiliates can also earn a commission of 18% when insurance premiums are paid by their recruits.

How Much To Join Multisure?

If Multisure’s program sounds compelling, you’ll need to pay the base membership fee of R110 ZAR.

In addition to this, you’ll also need to buy one of the insurance plans that’s outlined above. Furthermore, Multisure also pushes an extra charge of R120 ZAR for each insurance plan that an affiliate decides to sign up for.

Here’s My Multisure Final Thoughts!

At the end of the day, Multisure is nothing more than an MLM opportunity with its sole focus placed on affiliate recruitment.

This is typically looked down upon in the MLM world, but Multisure doesn’t seem to bat an eye at its way of doing business:

“MULTISURE pays a very generous commission to members who recruit others. Get other to Join Once and Earn Forever — as long as they pay their monthly premiums!”

Better yet, this is how Multisure explains how affiliates can work towards becoming an “independent Multisure consultant”:

“You subscribe to at least one of our products yourself, either LegalSure or FuniSure or both (you can click on Join Now). From thereon we show you how to effectively market those exact same products to others as well as show them how to set up their own businesses as part of your team.”

Whenever a company requires that affiliates buy something to earn, the theme of “pay to play” is involved. This is exactly what Multisure is promoting, and it’s not good.

There’s no focus at all on naturally selling insurance packages to retail customers, and because of this, Multisure is operating as a pyramid scheme.

Pyramid schemes usually see the admin earning the most with the majority of affiliates losing out or earning pennies, and this is likely what’ll happen with Multisure.
