I will tell you all about it in my Review of Optavia.

Let’s get started.

Exactly what is Optavia?

Getting started with my Optavia review, let’s first start with the company’s background information.

On Optavia’s website, there’s not much to see in these regards. Despite looking through the entire site, I was unable to find any mention of who owns the company, where it’s based out of, etc.

There is an “about us” page on the site, but it’s used to further promote the company rather than offering concrete background information.

These setbacks aside, I did come across an SSL certificate on Optavia’s website. Upon some research, I discovered that it belongs to Medifast. From there, I learned that Optavia was previously operating as Take Shape For Life prior to July 2017.

Take Shape For Life entered the MLM space in 2002 as a subsidiary to Medifast. Medifast was founded in 1980 as Vitamin Specialties Corp  by William Vitale. Now in 2019, the company is being run out of Maryland in the United States.

As for the CEO, Daniel Chard has been leading Optavia and Medifast since October of 2016.

Are There Any Optavia Products?

On the product line side of things, Optavia offers “programs” through which people can reach weight and health goals.

There are quite a few programs being offered, with each one aiming to help customers be healthier. The plans are on the expensive side of things, with the priciest one selling for $448.60 and the cheapest plan going for $333.

Optavia also vitamin-infused beverages, with these coming in at a much more reasonable $39.95.

Optavia also offers a membership program called Optavia Premier. While the cost of this isn’t disclosed, it’s said to include free products, free shipping, and customer rewards.

Can You Tell Me About The Compensation Plan For Optavia?

Should you join Optavia as an affiliate, you’ll primarily earn money through retail and recruitment commissions.

For everyone that starts out, Optavia affiliates earn a 15% commission on sales to both retail customers and affiliates they personally recruit into the company.

As you generate more PV (Personal Volume” each month, you’ll earn a higher rate. For example, affiliates that generate at least 6000 PV in a month earn a 28% commission.

What Is The Fee To Join Optavia?

If you’re interested in joining Optavia, a membership will cost you $95 upfront and then $99 each year after that.

Is Optavia Truly A Scam?

If you’ve been doing your research on Optavia, you may have heard from some people that it’s a scam, and from other’s that it’s totally legit.

After reading my review, you might not be sure for yourself.

So, what’s really going on here?

Is Optavia a scam, or can you make a legit business with it?

To be honest, I am not sure Optavia is a scam.

However, I did find a few things to be aware of before you join, which will help you to be successful if you join.

Read Here For My Optavia Conclusion!

There are a lot of health/wellness companies out there, meaning that Optavia is faced with lots of tough competition.

The selling of wellness plans is quite interesting and a bit different from focusing on individual products, and for some customers, could be quite appealing. With steep price tags, however, you’re going to need to know how to sell costly items.

The compensation plan is quite fair, and while there’s no clear distinction between personal recruits or retail customers, you can treat this like a retail-focused opportunity and earn some good money.

I’m not a a fan of the lack of information on Optavia’s website, but if you’re OK with the joining fee and like what the company is offering, it might be worth a closer look.

I hope you have gained a lot of value from my Optavia Review.

I have found other reviews are scant on details, so I wanted to make sure you had everything you need here.

If you do decide to move forward with Optavia, I think the info I have given here will help you.
