What Is Party Lite?

In today’s review, we’re going to be looking at the company with the name of PartyLite. PartyLite has been in the MLM industry for quite a few years now, but has recently been making pretty big waves and quite a bit of buzz on social media. Seeing as how this is the case, I figured that now would be the perfect time to look into the company to see just what it is that it has to offer.

For starters, PartyLite is perhaps one of the oldest MLM opportunities that I’ve reviewed in recent memory. PartyLite first got started in multi-level marketing way back inn the 1900s when its founder Mabel Baker started making candles from wild bayberries that she found.

Initially, Babel gave these candles to family members and friends as gifts, but as time went on, she decided to turn her candling-making hobby into her own little business in the year 1909.

After just a few years of being in operation, Babel’s setup grew into a million dollar venture. While things were started by just selling candles, Babel decided to eventually expand her offerings to the likes of perfumes, home fragrances, and even a heap of bath products. Babel passed away in 1965, and at this time, her business reported a total net worth of $6 million.

Following her death in 1973, s subsidiary of Babel’s company was launched by the name of PartyLite Gifts Inc. That’s the company that’s up for our full review, and without any further ado, here’s the product line and compensation plan that the company is advertising.

What Products Are Being Sold?

On the product line side of things, PartyLite has stuck with Babel’s company’s initial offerings, but have continued to expand the product line over the years as well. Along with the standard line up of candles, PartyLite has grown its product line to offer home decor items, other fragrance flavors, and even more body care and bath products than ever before.

At the time of this writing, PartyLite has more than 68,000 individual consultants that are located all around the world, with consultants for the company tasked with promoting products that the company sells through home shows/parties that they host.

The consultant/affiliate that hosts these parties is seen as the party host, and the main objective of the host for these PartyLite parties is to both sell products in the product line in addition to trying to get more people to join your own personal sales team/downline.

The quality of the products being offered look to be of a very good quality, and the expansion of products being offered is really great to see.

Info On The Party Lite Comp Plan

In regards to making money as an affiliate/consultant for PartyLite, you’ll earn a commission that’s based off of the difference in price between the retail and wholesale price of a product that you sell to a retail customer.

Before you start earning these commissions though, you need to first make sure that you properly qualify for them. In order to do this, you’ll need to ensure that you’re selling at least $500 worth of PartyLite products each and every month. Once you meet this qualification, you’ll then be able to receive a 25% discount off of your home show commissions, in addition to a 7% bonus commission if you’re able to generate $2000 or more in sales during a single month.

To put all of this into perspective, let’s say that you have a really good month and are able to sell $5000 worth of PartyLite products during it. If this is thee case, your standard direct commission will be $1250, but you’ll also get a bonus commission of $350.

However, this isn’t the only way to earn money with PartyLite.

While direct sales commissions are a big focus for the compensation plan, you can earn additional income through group sales that take place within your own downline. These group sales can come in the form of commissions ranging from 2% up to 7%, and building up both the quantity and quality of your downline will help you maximize your earnings here.

The head of any downline is seen as the “Unit Leader”, and in order to qualify for this position, you’ll need to meet the following qualifications –

  • Recruit four or more consultants to join your downline
  • Your downline must generate at least $2000 or more in sales each month
  • You need make $640 worth of personal sales each month

What Will It Cost Me To Join Party Lite?

In order to become an affiliate for PartyLite, you’ll need to purchase the company’s starter kit for the cost of $99.

You can also choose to join the company for free, but doing so will require you to hold a Starter Party for the company that is able to generate at least $350 in total sales.

Any time a new business opportunity launches, you will always hear rumours about them being scams – so is Party Lite a scam?

And Now, My Party Lite Conclusion

With all of that said and done, the final word here with PartyLite is actually quite positive. The product line being offered appears to be of a very high quality, with a great variety and competitive prices being offered to customers.

The compensation plan is easy to understand as well, and the strong focus on sales is a great thing to see as well. Recruitment certainly does play a role in making as much money as possible, but you’ll need to make sure that you downline is actively selling products as well in order to make any money off of it.

I’d recommend ordering some products from PartyLite first to see if you like what’s being sold, and if you do and feel that you’ve got what it takes to sell these sort of products to people in your area, this looks like a perfectly legitimate and fair opportunity to get acquainted with.
