Rodan + Fields – What Is It??

Multi-level marketing is one of the most interesting and expansive fields out there. The general business model allows for companies of many varieties to get involved and create for income-opportunities through a wide array of different products and services. This diversity has created for some truly interesting and successful companies, but it’s also created for a number of different scams.

You see, MLM is an interesting breed. While there are general rules and regulations set in place that allow for a business to be as successful as possible, these rules don’t necessarily need to be followed in order to start an opportunity in this field. And, as a result of this, we’ve seen a host of different companies with a whole variety of different products and services that they’ve got to bring to the table.

Some of the product lines that we’ve seen have been quite original and unique, whereas others have been a bit more common. One of the most popular and successful niches out there for the MLM world is definitely that of skin care.

Everyone’s got skin, and everyone wants to take care of it. So many people out there suffer with some sort of challenge in regards to their skin, and skin care products help to alleviate and diminish many of these struggles. This is the prime reason as to why this field has gotten so tremendously popular, and it’s created for a host of many MLM companies operating in this field.

While some of these companies offer legit opportunities that are worth your time and investment, others are nothing but scams that are trying to make a quick buck off of as many people as they can possibly scam.

The company up for our review today operates in this field, and they go by the name of Rodan and Fields. Rodan and Fields was first launched all the way back in 2002 by Dr. Katie Rodan and Dr. Kathy Fields. Both of these women are active dermatologists, and the company’s website claims that they’ve got years upon years of experience of continuous practice in this field.

If Katie Rodan and Kathy Fields sound at all familiar to you, that’s because these two women were actually the creators behind the skin care line Proactive. Proactive is one of the most well-known brands out there when it comes to skin care products, so that’s a pretty nice reputation for them to have under their belts.

In addition to their creation of Proactive Solution, the company Rodan and Fields has a management team that has a combined experience of 160 years in the field of direct selling and general business, and the company is even a member of California’s Direct Selling Association.

This all creates for a rather impressive background when it comes to Rodan and Fields, and should leave most prospective investors and affiliates with a rather good first impression. However, does that good feeling carry through with what the company actually has to offer?

The Product Line For Rodan + Fields

As we mentioned earlier, Rodan and Fields operates in the business of selling various skin care products to their customers. Nothing in the product line is revolutionary or groundbreaking in the world of skin care, but the things that are being offered appear to be of a pretty high quality.

Some of the most notable products include solutions for reducing the effects of aging, creams to help combat acne and pimples, items for treating sun-damage, gauze pads, sunscreen, and a host of other different items.

To give you an idea for how the pricing for these products is, the company’s Redefine set of 4 products, that aim to help with anti-aging, sells for $199.00. Additionally, a collection that aims to correct acne sells for $180.00. These products definitely range on the higher side of things, but when you consider the expertise behind said products, that higher price becomes much more justified.

What Should I Know About The Compensation Plan?

So, the company has a solid product line in place, but what about the compensation plan that’s being offered?

There are various routes offered for making money as an affiliate for Rodan and Fields, and these include earning commissions from direct selling, earning on residual income through sales of other affiliates within the company, and various performance-based bonuses that are offered as well.

Rodan and Fields appears to put a strong emphasis on retail sales with their compensation plan, and that’s always something that we’re thrilled to see. So many MLM opportunities nowadays focus on nothing more than recruitment, and while there’s definitely an element of that here, that is by far from the main focus of the plan as a whole.

Direct selling is going to be key here in order to see any amount of success, so you’re going to want to make sure that you’ve got the right personality for the job. Being outgoing and having a knowledge of sales/marketing will definitely be benefits to have here, and they could put you quite a bit above the rest of your members.

Conclusion for Rodan + Fields

So, at the end of the day, should you consider joining Rodan and Fields?

There’s no doubt at all that the folks behind the company are reputable and know what they’re doing when it comes to crafting quality skin care products. The products being offered are certainly on the higher side of things, but as said before, that’s to be expected when considering the fact that they’re being made by the same two women who came up with Proactive.

The compensation plan being offered is very fair, and puts a strong focus on retail sales and building up an active downline as well. However, as fair as it is, the true determining factor as to whether or not you’ll be successful will come down to your ability to sell and market the products.
