What The Heck Is Touchstone Essentials?

Touchstone Essentials is a company that first launched back in 2012, and it operates in the niche of nutritional supplement products.

Founder and CEO Norwood “Eddie” Stone is running Touchstone Essentials out of North Carolina in the United States, and according to Stone’s corporate bio on the company website, he has, “two decades marketing and making nutritional supplements.”

As for other ventures that Stone has been a part of, the man is also the co-founder of Waiora — another nutritional supplement entity.

Before he helped found Waiora, Stone was seen acting as an affiliate for Nu Skin and then Rexall Showcase International some time after that. If you go as far back as 2010, there are reports that Waiora’s NCD supplement product contained a substantially smaller amount of zeolite than what the company was advertising at the time.

Following the discovery of this whole situation, Waiora was hit with a class-action lawsuit a couple years later in 2012. This is the same exact year when Stone decided to leave the company and create Touchstone Essentials, and we believe that his leaving of the company likely had something to do with the lawsuit that was taking place at the time.

A year later in 2013, Waiora eventually decided to settle for a lump sum of $12 million.

Going back to Stone’s corporate bio on the Touchstone Essentials webpage, it is said that Stone, “couldn’t help but notice that many of the same problems found in Big Food — pesticides, ultra-processed ingredients and toxic additives — were also found i most “health” supplements.

In fact, most supplements are anything but healthy.

I knew that needed to change. Your family, my family, all families deserve better.”

What Are The Touchstone Essentials Products?

Touchstone Essentials is marketing a wide array of different supplements for both nutrition and detox, and while we won’t go over every single one, here are a few of the highlights —

  • Super Green Juice (MSRP $79.95 for 30 servings) — “gives your body 44 organic superfoods to alkalize, detox, energize and strengthen immunity.”
  • Green Energy (MSRP $46.95 for 60 capsules) — “organic green tea and proteolytic enzymes.”
  • Essentials (MSRP $59.95 for 90 capsules) — “brings the best of the farmer’s market to you with all the hard-to-find organic fruits, veggies and herbs you want.”
  • Pure Body (MSRP $38.95 for a 30-day supply) — “daily natural detox for optimal health and well-being.”

In addition to being able to buy these products a la carte, you can also choose to get them in bulk and bundle packs to score some additional savings.

What About The Compensation Plan For Touchstone Essentials?

As an affiliate for Touchstone Essentials, you make money by selling products to retail customers and through residual commissions that are paid out to members via a unilevel payment system.

On the direct retail side of things, affiliates are able to earn a commission whenever they sell products to customers that are not current affiliates for the compensation plan that Touchstone Essentials is running.

The amount of money that’s earned here is the difference in cost between the wholesale and retail price tags, and this is a tactic that is seen with many other MLM opportunities along these lines.

Moving over to the residual commissions, this payment is offered as a percentage of how much money your downline is making.

Having higher ranks within Touchstone Essentials will allow you to maximize your earning potential when it comes to residual commissions, and having a higher rank is achieved by increasing your total GV count each and every month.

What’s The Cost Of Joining Touchstone Essentials?

If you’d like to join Touchstone Essentials, a membership with the company starts out at $19.95 every year.

However, there are two ways to get the first year of that fee waived, including —

  1. Buying a minimum of 500 PV worth of product upon first signing up for Touchstone Essentials
  2. Purchasing the Advantage Pack for the cost of $659 when joining as an affiliate for the first time

Along with waiving that first yearly free, the Advantage Pack also helps to increase an affiliate’s overall income potential throughout the compensation plan.

Finally, My Touchstone Essentials Review And Conclusion!

Going through everything that Touchstone Essentials is bringing to the table, there are a couple of oddities that create for some concern about the company.

Looking at the compensation plan, one of the biggest issues has to do with the fact that affiliate’s must be signed up on monthly autoship orders if they’d like to be able to earn through the Rank Achievement Bonuses section of the comp plan.

Forcing affiliates to buy product in order to earn money is never something you want to come across in an MLM setting, and there’s also an issue taking place with the whole Advantage

Pack that I mentioned above,

Buying the Advantage Pack allows you to earn more money than affiliates who don’t buy it, so that creates for the essence of pay-to-play.

However, with the recruiting affiliate also earning money for enlisting someone who buys this pack, you are also dealing with a chain-recruitment problem.

Although you could technically ignore the Advantage Pack when signing up, here’s how Touchstone Essentials is marketing it —

“Use Touchstone Essentials to create a second income. This would best be done with an initial investment in a “Advantage Value Pack”, providing a 25% commission on referrals. The very first time you order is important as there is a one time opportunity.”

Shelling out $659 upon joining is being marketed as the best way to become an affiliate for the company if you want a shot at earning the most money, but this also puts the spotlight on autoship recruitment.

Although it is possible for retail sales to take place, you’re certainly going to be taking a bit of a gamble if you decide to join this one.

Touchstone Essential’s hard focus on using only the most natural and pure ingredients around for its product line does help to set it apart from the rest of the competition out there, but with so much possibility to completely forget about retail and participate solely with autoship recruitment activity, I’d suggest thinking long and hard before you make a final decision on this one.
