What The Heck Is Vida Divina?

Based out of California, United States, Vida Divina operates within the weight loss MLM niche. According to their marketing materials, Armand Puyolt is the founder and CEO of Vida Divina.

Puyolt was at one time a master-distributor for Total Life Changes. A publicity piece released by BusinessForHome (Ted Nuyten) states that Puyolt earned $2 million in 2012, and $3 million the following year.

Puyolt makes the claim that the Total Life Changes products cured his cancer.

During an interview in 2015, Puyolt recalled the launch of Total Life Changes:

[2:01] We were about to launch, I collapsed and went into the hospital.

When I went into the hospital, the doctors literally given me six more months of life left because they figure out I had cancer.

I had cancer right next to my heart and it was like right between my heart and lungs.

I had another cancer in my stomach and the beginnings of minor tumors in other places around my body.

[3:30] Six months later, utilizing the products that my wife had found that we’d put together for Total Life Changes… everything started fading. As in the problems that I had medically.

[8:39] Five years later, I was supposed to die five years ago, not only am I still alive but the last test I had I had a full body scan (and) I have no signs of cancer.

[9:03] And I can tell you 100% I didn’t use no medication. I didn’t use no pharmaceuticals. I used Iaso tea and I used the Iaso gano. I used the Iaso changa.

Total Life Changes uses Iaso as their flagship brand.

In 1996, Puyolt began his MLM career with ACN. Puyolt left ACN in 2000, and joined Metabolife International.

Metabolife was charged with filing fraudulent tax returns in 2005, and was fined $600,000.

Metabolife owner William Bradley also pleaded guilty to evading millions of dollars in taxes and was sentenced to 6 months in federal prison and 2 years of probation.

In response to falling sales, and facing more than $1 billion in personal injury legal claims related to Metabolife 365, Metabolife filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in 2005.

The company’s furnishings and property, including a large collection of artwork, were liquidated in late 2006 to compensate creditors and settle outstanding personal-injury claims.

According to his LinkedIn Profile, Puyolt says he left Metabolife in 2004, one year before the company’s regulatory issues started.

Along with launching his own MLM coaching business in 2005, Puyolt also joined Jyani in 2007. Puyolt left Kyani in 2009 to become a Master Distributor with Total Life Changes.

Puyolt insists that he invested half of the capital in order to launch Total Life Changes.

Shortly after leaving Total Life Changes in May 2016, the Vida Divina launch was announced.

Vida Divina provides no information on their products on their website.

“We have many great products that are on the way. Check back soon for more details.”

Early marketing materials for Vida Divina produced by affiliates establish the fact that the main product for Vida Divina will be a weight-loss tea, which is quite similar to the Total Life Changes’ Iaso tea.

Retail Commissions

A Vida Divina affiliate is paid when retail sales are made to customers.

A retail commission is defined as the different between the wholesale and retail pricing on products.

Recruitment Commissions

When a Vida Divina affiliate signs up with a “starter pack,” the recruiting affiliate is paid a percentage of the commissionable volume. This commission is determined by how much the affiliate spends on their starter pack.

These starter packs cost anywhere between $150 and $1200, and the percentage on the commissionable volume is paid out based on the recruiting affiliate’s rank:

  • Gold or lower – 50%
  • Platinum – 55%
  • Sapphire – 60%
  • Ruby – 62%
  • Emerald – 64%
  • Diamond to Black Diamond – 68%
  • Crown Diamond – 70%

Residual Commissions

Vida Divina utilizes a binary compensation structure to pay out residual commissions. A binary compensation structure places you at the top of your binary team, with two positions placed directly below you. These positions are filled by direct and indirect recruitment of new Vida Divina affiliates.

New levels are generated as required, and each new level has double the amount of positions as the level above it. Level 1 has 2 positions, level 2 has 4 positions, level 3 has 8, and so on.

Sales volume is generated on each side of the binary grid. At the end of each month, Vida Divina will calculate sales volume on each side of the binary team. Affiliates are paid out a percentage of sales volume earned by the weaker binary side, which is determined by affiliate rank:

  • NoRank – 5%
  • NoRank2 – 6%
  • NoRank3 – 8%
  • Apprentice – 10%
  • Bronze – 11%
  • Silver – 12%
  • Gold – 13%
  • Platinum – 14%
  • Sapphire – 15%
  • Ruby – 16%
  • Emerald – 17%
  • Diamond – 18%
  • Blue Diamond – 19%
  • Black  and Crown Diamond – 20%

Vida Divina also pays out a bonus if the required monthly PV is earned before the month end. Affiliate binary earnings are capped at $80,000 per month.

Additional Binary Positions

Affiliates who reach the Diamond, Blue Diamond, Black Diamond and Crown Diamond ranks earn an additional binary position per rank qualified for.

Matching Bonus

Vida Divina affiliates can also earn a 50% match on binary commissions on personally recruited affiliate. Matching bonuses are paid out using a uni-level compensation structure.

Mortgage Bonus

Vida Divina affiliates qualify to earn a Mortgage bonus if they are ranked Ruby or higher, as follows:

  • Ruby – $500
  • Emerald – $1000
  • Diamond – $1500
  • Blue Diamond – $2000
  • Black Diamond – $2500
  • Crown Diamond – $3000

Trip Bonus

Sapphire and higher ranked affiliates can qualify for up to two trips yearly.

What’s The Cost Of Joining Vida Divina?

A Vida Divina affiliate membership is combined with the purchase of a starter pack. Vida Divina does not provide information on the Starter Packs on their website, though most presentations say they are between $150 and $1200.

So, Is There A Vida Divina Scam Going On?

So, like with all business opportunities, you will hear things around the internet about there being a Vida Divina scam or something like that.

And from what you have read, you may also wonder if this is legit or a complete scam.

So, what’s the truth?
Is there a Vida Divina scam going on or is this legit?

Well, to be honest, Vida Divina is not really a proper scam or anything like that.

But there are some things to be aware of (see conclusion section).
That is how you will be successful.

Having said this, at least there are proper products with Vida Divina. With some businesses I’ve looked at, there is no tangible product at all.

On the other hand, with something like this business (Vida Divina) and the Aspire system which I recently reviewed here recently, there are a multitude of products which can be sold seperately.

Thank goodness for legit products!

Finally, My Vida Divina Review And Conclusion!

Armand Puyolt said he was “in love with what we’re doing” at Total Life Changes in 2015.

Next thing you know, he’s left to launch his own clone of the company.

One of the major issues with Total Life Changes is that the retail aspect always seemed to be second to affiliate recruitment. Anyone who spent $40 was converted to an affiliate. This is always a poor model, because commissions slow when recruitment slows.

Because of this, I’d say it’s likes that Total Life Changes will fold up over the next year and a half. You’ll also see a lot of the affiliates at Total Life Changes leaving for Puyolt’s new opportunity.

Because Puyolt claims that Total Life Changes products cured his cancer, I doubt it will be too long before Puyolt claims the Vida Divina products did the same thing. I imagine this will be a problem, and the FDA will likely launch an investigation into the claims of the company.

That being said, the compensation plan with Vida Divina is different from Total Life Changes, however, retail sales are likely to be somewhat ignored because of the affiliate recruitment commissions.

Let me put it like this: why bother to spend the time trying to earn a $20 retail commissions when the simplest thing to do is maintain your own PV, and then recruit a bunch of people who do the same, and just let the commissions roll in.

Because retail can be ignored, this becomes chain recruitment, and add in the Starter Pack commissions, and it’s in the realm of pyramid schemes.

With the cancer curing claims made by the founder, a chain-recruitment compensation plan, along with the very obvious rip-off of Total Life CHanges, Vida Divina will likely last a much shorter time than Total Life Changes.

Hopefully, you have found my Vida Divina Review useful.

I wanted to give a lot of details because there have been other review of Vida Divina which were a bit thin on the detail side.

No matter what happens, if you really want to succeed with any business, you have to learn how to market properly.

And, my training below will help you do that and make money!
