what is a funded proposalIf you’ve been in the Network Marketing niche for any amount of time, you would have heard of the “Funded Proposal”. There is still some confusion over what it is and how it works. The other day, I was speaking with a new member of my team and he said “What Is A Funded Proposal?”. It’s also known as a Self Liquidating Offer (SLO) which can cause further confusion.

So Nick, What Is A Funded Proposal And How Does It Help Me?

Ok, I am getting to that! 🙂

You may be wondering: what is a funded proposal and how can it help your business?

In simple terms, a Funded Proposal is a method of lead generation that you should really consider.

It solves a very important problem: 90%+ people will not want your business opportunity (straight away). Network Marketers do not wake up each morning “wanting another business opportunity”, but what they do want is information, help, guidance and leadership. If you offer this on the “front end”, you will be practicing attraction marketing and becoming the hunted instead of the hunter.

It is a way for you to make money from the prospects who do not want your business opportunity (the majority of them!). You can use the money from the Funded Proposal to cover your marketing costs.

As you can see above, the beauty of a Funded Proposal is that it can generate you “Unlimited Free Leads”. How does it do this? It covers your advertising costs with a “information product” that can fund further advertising: Unlimited Business Growth! Nice!

What Can Be Used As Your Funded Proposal?

There’s a variety of things that you can use, just make sure that it “provides value” to your prospects – There is no point in selling them junk. The whole point of the exercise is to “provide value” to your prospects on the front end so that you can start forming a relationship with them. They will become a lead and in the future, they may just want to join your opportunity.

The Problem: Most People Forget To Do This

Take a look around you and you will see so many people promoting their opportunity on the front-end, and they then get surprised when people “don’t buy”. They also run out of money fast because they haven’t covered their advertising costs with a low-end offer.

Here are the key benefits to a Funded Proposal:

1. You are offering them value and training first, rather than giving them a business opportunity on the front-end. (which they probably won’t want).

2. This means you will get a much more responsive lead over the long-term.

3. You can receive an instant sale that can cover your marketing costs. This way, you can build your list “for free”.

One more thing, a great example of this is with Solo Ads. Solo Ads are a very fast way of building your list and generating leads, but they can also be expensive. If you “deploy” this strategy, and make your money back from the Solo Ads, you will be “building your list for free” and generating a lot of leads.
