Why A Quitter Never Wins And A Winner Never Quits

why a quitter never wins and a winner never quitsThis post is all about the importance of “not quitting” in life.

The post title is obviously a famous quote from Napoleon Hill, the author of Think And Grow Rich and one of the best selling books of all time.

“A Quitter Never Wins and A Winner Never Quits”.
Napoleon Hill

If you are an Entrepreneur building a business, then this sort of advice will be of high value to you.

Or, it may be of use to you if you are want to succeed at anything, whether it’s learning a sport, a new hobby or completing a Project.

The point is that “a quitter never wins and a winner never quits”.

What does this mean?

It means that, as Napoleon Hill states: “What the mind can conceive, the mind can achieve”.

You can achieve anything you put your mind to, but it will not happen if you quit!

So, don’t quit!

2 Examples From My Own Life

1. Me Learning The Piano – I’ve now had over 1,000,000 views on Youtube. You can see for yourself here.

Despite that, there was a time when I could barely play the piano. In fact, for 3 years, I never practiced.

I would turn up to each lesson and “try and wing it”.

One day, I set a clear goal of learning to play the piano. I had determination, desire and a plan of action. 2 months later, I was playing diploma level piano music.

Those 2 months were tough, but I never ever quit! In fact, I hardly ever quit anything, unless it no longer is of interest to me.

I would never quit achieving something that was in my heart, and you shouldn’t either.

2. My Online Business – I tried for so long to “make money online” and run a home business.

I purchased all sorts of courses, and went round in circles trying to master every lead generation technique out there.

I made mistakes but then I learnt from them. This is what being an entrepreneur is about!

I ran campaigns that produced “terrible results“, so then I learnt from my mistakes, made adjustments (and course corrections) to succeed next time.

These days, I produce a nice income from the Internet, and it is all because I “stayed in the game” and never quit.

You can learn how to do this yourself by grabbing my Free training below:

A Quitter Never Wins and a Winner Never Quits!

I purchased courses that didn’t work, but eventually found something that did.

I focused on my “mindset” training and took it seriously, because most of the success in anything in life happens within our own mind!

When you encounter struggles along the way, remember that “this is normal” and it’s part of the journey. You have to “see the bigger picture” and your “end destination” that is way beyond the struggles you go through to get there.

When You Struggle Remember That A Quitter Never Wins And A Winner Never Quits

napoleon hill think and grow richI would go as far as to say that you should have this written on your pinboard, whiteboard or postered on your wall.

Always remember this quote and never give up on your dreams.

Since I learnt the Piano at the age of 11, I have always followed this philosophy.

Are you struggling with motivation to succeed?

If so, let me know in the comments section below, and read the quote 15 times!

  1. Hey Nick,

Wanted to stop by and check out your blog. I love this message and I’ve seen so many people quit for a number of different reasons. Sad but I think that they obviously didn’t want it bad enough or they would have stuck with it.

By the way, I use to play the piano some when I was young. Let’s say my Mom made me take lessons but I couldn’t read music. I only could play by ear. I played the flute in school but once again, I learned by listening to everyone else. I don’t play anymore but that was never a passion of mine, it was my Mom’s. You play beautifully by the way.

You don’t know my story but I left corporate American back in 2007 and had I quit because like you I found this place very confusing and so many things didn’t work for me, I wouldn’t be where I am today. I love working at home, I love having my own business and most of all I love helping others learn they can do the same.

If you’re meant to be here then by all means don’t quit. It’s so worth everything we have to go through.

Thanks Nick and great to meet you. Hope you’ve had a great week and are looking forward to the weekend.

    ~Adrienne

    • Hey Adrienne,

Thanks for the kind words about the post and the piano playing.

The concept of “quitting” is an interesting one. Personally speaking, I only “quit” things that I no longer strive for (or want). For anyone to quit something that is part of their “dream” would be a very sad scenario.

I think it’s good (and healthy) to quit things that are dragging you down, but tragic if you give up on your dreams.

Your story is an inspiring one Adrienne, and I really like your Blog! Having an online business very much requires determination as you have shown. I always like the saying “I didn’t say it would be easy, but I did say that it would be worth it”. This sums up everything.

Thanks for stopping by and I will be visiting your Blog a lot!

  2. Thanks Nick for all your motivational quotes which we need to keep on reminding
ourselves! Follow our dreams and dont quit! Luv your piano playing it’s really nice and inspiring.
